First look at the Galaxy Watch 3 ahead of launch [photos]
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2020 even is inching closer. Ahead of the event on Wednesday 5 August 2020, we got our hands on the yet-to-be-launched Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. It’s a beautiful smartwatch, and it packs a real punch.
Galaxy Watch 3 sneak peek
The watch body is made out of stainless steel and it ships with a Premium Genuine Leather strap. It’s sleek, it’s modern and it will be available in several colour options including Silver, Black and Bronze.
The Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in two sizes: 41mm with a 1.2″ screen and 247 mAh battery; and a 45mm with 1.4″ screen and a 340 mAh battery. The packing also includes a wireless charger.

We’ve learned from GSM Arena and Evan Blass that the Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in LTE and Wi-Fi only. It will also include several features we’ve come to love about Samsung’s smartwatches, including a high-res OLED screen.
Galaxy Watch 3: Sensors and features galore
Furthermore, the flagship smartwatch sports the trusted rotating bezel as well. In addition, it will reportedly be equipped with an ECG sensor and a photo-plethysmography (PPG) sensor, which can be used for monitoring blood oxygen levels.
There’s a rumour doing the rounds that the watch could read blood pressure as well, but you’ll have to wait for my review.

Moreover, this is also the biggest refresh Samsung’s smartwatches have undergone since the first watch released back in 2018; the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. That fitness-focused smartwatch was followed up with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2.
All of the features combined in the Galaxy Watch 3 make it one of the best smartwatches currently on the market. What we can’t confirm at this stage, is price and availability details.

The Note 20 series will undoubtedly garner the most interesting; while the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be an improved foldable phone with a larger display and more durable Ultra-Thin Glass than its predecessor.
You already know what the Watch Active 3 will look like, but we’ll share more in the way of specification closer to the launch. The Galaxy Buds Live is set to give Apple’s AirPods Pro a bit of an uphill battle in terms of competition.
Then, of course, the Galaxy Tab S7. It is said to be the Android tablet we’ve been waiting for; the one to finally challenge the iPad Pro for the title of Best Tablet.
