Epic Store spreads festive cheer with 15 days of free PC games
It’s that time of the year again, folks! Epic Games is getting ready for Christmas and will be giving away one free game every day for next fifteen games. There are a few gems in the lineup, too.
“The Epic Games Store Holiday Sale begins on December 17, and we’ve got some goodies in store for you. Unwrap deals up to 75% off, but that’s not all… Also starting December 17, we’ll be giving away a new game each day for two weeks straight – that’s right, it’s 15 Days of Free Games!”
There are still a few hours to download last week’s freebies if you forget. Get Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny – action-adventure role-playing games developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Paradox Interactive.
Festive Freebies – Day 1 of Epic Store’s 15-day sale
Someone leaked the complete list on Reddit, which was then later shared on Twitter. However, it could be fake, or Epic might change things up along the way. Therefore, to be on the safe side, we’ll update this series daily.
That said, the leaked list includes some top-of-the-shelf titles, including The Witcher 3, Resident Evil 7, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Today’s freebie is Dying Light. Let’s take a look.
Dying Light – 17 to 18 December
Dying Light, which was developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros back in 2015, is survival horror game which revolves around an undercover agent named Kyle Crane.
Crane is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a Middle-eastern city called Harran. The first-person game was in development for three years before it was released on 28 January 2015.

Note: This game carries an ESRB rating of Mature 17+ for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence and Strong Language.
In the city of Harran, a mysterious viral outbreak has turned most of the population into hyper-aggressive zombie-like creatures, forcing Harran’s Defence Ministry to quarantine parts of the city.
