Two darts athletes, two snooker players, and two golf competitors came together to settle a long-standing debate: which accomplishment is the hardest—making a hole-in-one, scoring a 147 break, or hitting a nine-darter?
According to current world darts champion Humphries, for a novice, achieving a 147 would be the most difficult feat.
However, he asserted that for a seasoned player, executing a nine-darter poses a greater challenge.
The world No. 1 stated: “If you give someone a set of darts, a snooker cue, and a golf club, I believe they’d land a hole-in-one most easily, followed by a nine-darter, and then the 147. That’s the hardest of all.”
“But a professional player knows all the angles in snooker.”
Murphy, a former world snooker champion, could be heard chuckling before he responded, “I had no idea you were a comedian. A 147 is harder than a nine-darter.”
Humphries replied, “What’s funny about that? Did you hear what I said? I noted that as a pro, understanding the angles makes it seem straightforward.”
“In terms of legs and frames, there are more people who manage 147s than those who hit nine-darters.”
