Microsoft Build 2025: Your Ultimate Guide to This Year’s Conference Viewing
Microsoft Build, the highlight event of the year for Microsoft, is nearing. It is scheduled to kick off on May 19 at the Seattle Convention Center and will run through May 22.
The keynote address with Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella and CTO Kevin Scott is slated for May 19 at 9:05 a.m. PT. Following this, there will be an insightful session featuring executives Charles Lamanna (CVP of Business and Industry Copilot) and Scott Guthrie (EVP of Cloud and AI) on May 20 at 9 a.m. PT.
Both presentations will be available for live streaming online at no charge.
As for the expectations surrounding Build, particularly the keynote, Microsoft is anticipated to unveil its Copilot suite of AI-powered products. The company is actively embedding AI into its software and services, aiming to turn it into a significant revenue driver.
In a move to quickly boost its AI profitability, Microsoft recently integrated Copilot into its Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans, resulting in a 30% price increase.
In recent weeks, Microsoft has rolled out “deep research” capabilities for Copilot, enabling it to browse the internet and perform tasks on behalf of users. Additionally, it has reportedly ramped up its internal research and development initiatives to compete with OpenAI—its increasingly volatile partner—by developing its own robust AI models to enhance Copilot, which currently depends on OpenAI’s models.
