Saudi Prince Launches AI Initiative Amid Conference with Trump, Musk, Altman, and Zuckerberg
Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, has launched an AI initiative called Humain, which aims to advance the country’s artificial intelligence ecosystem. The project will prioritize the development of AI infrastructure, including the creation of data centers.
This announcement comes as Elon Musk, Sam Altman, and Mark Zuckerberg are expected to participate in a U.S.-Saudi investment forum on Tuesday, where artificial intelligence is set to be a key discussion point. Furthermore, President Trump is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia this week as part of a regional tour.
Humain is backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which manages assets around $940 billion, supporting the Crown Prince’s vision of diversifying the economy away from its reliance on oil.
Leading tech companies in the U.S. have sought investment from the PIF, with firms like Google and Salesforce tapping into the fund for AI-related projects and financing.
