SoftBank Set to Reveal a Trillion-Dollar AI and Robotics Mega Complex

SoftBank is making a major entrance into the AI industry.

Just months after announcing its involvement in the $500 billion Stargate AI Infrastructure venture, where SoftBank is said to be investing $19 billion, the Japanese investment titan is set to launch its most ambitious AI initiative yet.

According to Bloomberg, which relies on sources close to the matter, the firm intends to partner with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to create a trillion-dollar industrial hub in Arizona dedicated to AI and robotics.

This project, dubbed Project Crystal Land, seems to be in its very early stages. While SoftBank is eager to collaborate with TSMC on this endeavor, there are doubts regarding TSMC’s possible engagement, as reported by Bloomberg. TSMC is already working on its own AI infrastructure projects in Arizona.

SoftBank has opted not to provide any commentary on the situation.
