Figma Seeks Nearly $1B in Funding as It Kicks Off IPO Roadshow
Figma, a design startup for enterprises, has advanced further in its IPO journey.
On Monday, Figma revealed the launch of its IPO roadshow. The company plans to offer over 36 million shares of Class A stock, expected to be priced between $25 and $28 per share. This offering includes both primary and secondary shares, potentially enabling the company to raise about $1 billion.
The IPO is projected to be priced during the week of July 28.
If the shares are valued at the midpoint of the range, the company will achieve a market valuation of $15.9 billion, according to Renaissance Capital.
This valuation is below the $20 billion acquisition proposal from Adobe in September 2022, but above Figma’s previous private valuation of $12.5 billion, based on PitchBook data.
Figma initially indicated its plans to go public back in April.
Established in 2012 by Dylan Field and Evan Wallace, Figma has secured over $740 million in venture funding from various firms, including Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, Sequoia, and others.
