Summary
- Japanese AI firm plans to undertake the largest BTC treasury move in the country
- The company aims to secure 3,000 BTC for long-term holding
- Integrated Asset Management will launch the plan with an initial $10M investment
Bitcoin (BTC) is increasingly recognized as a valuable treasury asset throughout Asia. On July 23, the Tokyo-listed Quantum Solutions announced its plan to purchase 3,000 BTC, projected to be around $350 million, over the next year as part of a comprehensive strategy to diversify its treasury holdings. If successful, this would be the largest accumulation of BTC by a Japanese company to date.
The initiative will commence with a $10 million initial investment from GPT Pals Studio Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quantum Solutions located in Hong Kong. Integrated Asset Management (Asia) Limited, which also owns Forbes Media, will provide the initial funding for this investment.
“Quantum Solutions demonstrates a clear strategic vision and commitment,” remarked Tak Cheung Yam, founder of Integrated Asset Management Limited. “I perceive great potential in their approach to establishing a substantial Bitcoin treasury, and I am eager to support their efforts in unlocking institutional avenues and aligning capital strategy. This presents an opportune moment for firms with international ambitions and strategic execution.”
Quantum Solutions Pursues BTC as a Long-term Strategy
According to Quantum Solutions, this initiative is part of a broader, long-term plan, rather than a mere speculation on Bitcoin’s market value. Thus, GPT Pals Studio Limited, its subsidiary, will manage the crypto assets while ensuring a strong infrastructure for both cold and hot storage solutions.
“We are uniquely positioned to create a Bitcoin-first capital structure. Our goal is not just to accumulate Bitcoin, but to do so with institutional-level discipline,” stated Francis Zhou, CEO of Quantum Solutions. “We are in advanced discussions with prestigious asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, and fintech innovators to responsibly and swiftly scale our treasury roadmap.”
