SAP Acquires SmartRecruiters: Key Insights from This Week’s Tech Developments
On Friday, SAP announced that it has officially completed an agreement to purchase SmartRecruiters, a company specializing in recruitment software.
In a press release, the prominent European software firm highlighted that SmartRecruiters’ “intuitive interfaces and seamless workflows” will greatly enhance SAP’s current HR solutions.
Muhammad Alam, a member of SAP’s executive board overseeing product and engineering, pointed out that this acquisition will allow “Customers to manage the entire candidate journey—from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and beyond—within a unified system, improving the experience for recruiters, hiring managers, and, importantly, candidates.”
The financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed. The deal is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of this year.
SmartRecruiters’ latest funding round was a $110 million Series E in 2021, which valued the company at $1.5 billion.
