A report from the New York Times reveals that Mark Zuckerberg has dedicated the past 14 years to amassing properties in his picturesque Palo Alto neighborhood, acquiring 11 estates for over $110 million to create a private enclave in Crescent Park.

This luxurious compound features a main residence, guest cottages, beautifully landscaped gardens, and a pickleball court — not to mention a pool equipped with a movable hydrofloor that can convert the swimming space into a dance floor. A standout feature is a seven-foot sculpture of his wife, Priscilla Chan, draped in flowing silver attire.

Beneath this impressive suburban fortress lies 7,000 square feet of underground space, fondly referred to by locals as “the billionaire bat cave.” Moreover, one of the properties houses a private school for 14 children — a potential breach of local zoning regulations that authorities appear to overlook, as reported by the Times.

This extensive development has sparked concerns among longtime residents, who have reported issues with years of construction noise, obstructed driveways, and numerous surveillance cameras surveying the area. Neighbor Michael Kieschnick remarked, “No neighborhood wants to be occupied, but that’s precisely what they’ve done.”
