An X post from August 15 highlights that Hyperliquid (HYPE) has reached new heights, recording $29 billion in 24-hour trading volume along with $7.7 million in fees. This remarkable achievement coincides with substantial improvements across various metrics, indicating an increase in network activity and heightened investor interest.
Currently, HYPE is valued at $48.57, reflecting a 19% increase over the past week and a 1.6% gain in the last 24 hours. The token is merely 1.1% from its peak price of $49.75, indicating steady price progress throughout the week, fluctuating between $40.46 and $49.13.
Institutional Growth and Liquidity Enhancement
Data from DefiLlama indicates that Hyperliquid’s total value locked (TVL) has soared to $610 million, up from around $460 million in mid-July. Moreover, July saw a dramatic rise in monthly USD inflows, increasing from $21.35 million in June to $349.27 million.
Recent advancements are fueling this upward trend. On July 31, Circle launched native USD Coin (USDC) and CCTP V2 on Hyperliquid, enabling direct on/off ramps, cross-chain transfers, and enhancing liquidity within decentralized finance and derivatives markets.
Institutional participation is also growing. On August 13, Anchorage Digital Bank announced its intention to provide custody for Hyperliquid’s native HYPE token, ensuring superior security on HyperEVM.
Hyperliquid Price Analysis
Strong bullish indicators are supporting HYPE’s price movement. Ranging from the 200-day SMA to the 10-day EMA, all notable moving averages are indicating a buying trend.
The relative strength index currently stands at 63, showing a neutral position with room for further upward movement before reaching overbought conditions. The moving average convergence divergence remains in positive territory, and the stochastic indicator at 87.81 reflects ongoing buyer interest.

The Bollinger Bands are tightening, with prices nearing the upper band. This suggests diminished volatility, often indicating a possible breakout. If the token manages to close above $49.75, higher targets may emerge around $55, with $52 likely serving as a temporary resistance level.
Support is found at $45, with a more substantial demand zone around $42, aligning with the 20-day EMA and the mid-Bollinger band. Considering that the average directional index shows early signs of a trend, an increase in trading volume could set HYPE up for a more significant directional shift.
