Labubu May Hit $1 Billion This Year

Labubu, a plush monster toy, is on the path to becoming a billion-dollar brand.

This week, Pop Mart, the creator of Labubu, shared its financial results for the first half of 2025, highlighting the soaring demand for this plush toy. The Monsters series, featuring Labubu, generated around $670 million in revenue during the first half of the year, setting it up to surpass $1 billion by year-end. This impressive growth of 688% year-over-year outshines sales figures of notable brands like Mattel’s Barbie and Hot Wheels.

These toys, sold in a mystery “blind box” format, gained global popularity after BLACKPINK member Lisa expressed her affection for these charming yet unique creatures. Other A-listers, including Cher, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Marc Jacobs, have been spotted with Labubu toys, often adorning them as keychain accessories on their luxury handbags.

These decade-old figures, inspired by mythology, have quickly become as desirable as a Telfar bag was in 2020, and they are just as difficult to get.
