X Categorizes Verified Organizations as ‘Premium Businesses’ and ‘Premium Organizations’

On Tuesday, X announced a rebranding of its Verified Organizations premium subscription, splitting it into two separate offerings: Premium Business and Premium Organizations. The Premium Organizations tier, identified by a grey checkmark, targets governmental and multilateral entities, whereas Premium Business, distinguished by a gold checkmark, is intended to support the growth of businesses on X.

The Premium Business subscription features innovative tools crafted to assist businesses of all sizes—from startups to multinational corporations—in extending their reach, as noted by X. This tier is available in three versions: Basic, Full Access, and Enterprise.

X asserts that Premium Business will bolster a company’s growth on the platform by establishing trust with a gold checkmark and enhancing visibility with affiliate badges. Additionally, it provides advanced impersonation protection tools and quick human support for timely issue resolutions.

Moreover, Premium Business offers features for recruitment, real-time brand and industry monitoring, access to SuperGrok, and various other capabilities.

X has also revealed that Premium Business will soon have access to priority handles and is exploring a marketplace for acquiring “high-value handles.” In a statement to TechCrunch, the company elaborated that priority handles include inactive handles available to Premium Businesses at no charge, while rarer inactive handles may be available for purchase.

The Basic subscription for Premium Business is priced at $200 per month, supplying “the essentials to establish your business on X.” The Full Access tier is offered at $1,000 per month and includes affiliates, expedited support, priority handles, impersonation defense, and early access to features.

The Enterprise tier includes advanced tools, account management, and “maximum support for your unique goals,” according to X. The pricing for this tier is described as “custom.”

Conversely, the Premium Organizations plan is available for $1,000 per month.

Additionally, X has launched a limited-time promotion where users can receive a full refund of their subscription fee as advertising credits.

“X is the ideal platform for amplifying your organization’s impact and directly engaging with key audiences,” said Seth Fuchs from X Engineering in an announcement. “We are crafting tools for organizations looking to act swiftly, stay relevant, and broaden their presence in the world’s town square. This is only the start.”

With the roll-out of new Premium tiers, including a more budget-friendly $200 option, X seems to be positioning itself to boost revenue as it addresses issues within its advertising sector.
