Trump Mobile Acknowledges Breach of Customers’ Personal Data, Including Phone Numbers and Addresses

Trump Mobile, a telecommunications provider, has admitted to unintentionally exposing its customers’ names, email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, and order identifiers online.

Chris Walker, a spokesperson for the Trump-branded phone service, told TechCrunch that an investigation is currently in progress regarding the data exposure. He affirmed that there is no indication that sensitive information or financial data has been affected. The company insists that no breach of its network, systems, or infrastructure has taken place.

The spokesperson noted that the exposure is linked to a third-party platform provider that supports “certain Trump Mobile operations.” Walker did not reveal the identity of this provider.

This announcement follows earlier reports that Trump Mobile customers’ data was easily accessible online.

On Wednesday, two YouTubers who acquired Trump Mobile’s service reported that a researcher alerted them to the exposure of their personal details on the internet. The YouTubers, Coffeezilla and penguinz0, tried to notify Trump Mobile about the breach after the researcher made similar attempts, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Walker indicated that Trump Mobile is evaluating whether it is necessary to inform customers about the exposure of their personal information.
