Amazon Prime Day 2026 Set for June 23-26
Amazon has announced that this year’s Prime Day will take place from June 23-26. The retail giant is hosting the event earlier than usual, as it typically occurs in July.
“Members can take advantage of discounts on top brands, popular products, and Amazon-exclusive offerings, in addition to fresh groceries, seasonal essentials, and back-to-school supplies—all available for quick and free delivery,” the company stated in a blog update.
Historically, Prime Day has highlighted luxury items, but recent trends indicate that shoppers are focusing more on essentials. Amazon informed CNBC that this year’s promotions will prioritize groceries and household necessities.
This trend corresponds with new data from the University of Michigan, which shows U.S. consumer sentiment hit an all-time low in May due to economic difficulties.
Last year, Prime Day generated $24.1 billion in online sales for U.S. retailers, representing a 30.3% increase from the previous year.
