Lovable Signs Multi-Year Deal with Google Cloud to Increase Usage Fivefold, Sources Say

On Wednesday, Lovable and Google revealed an extended multi-year collaboration. The rapidly growing vibe-coding startup based in Stockholm has been leveraging Google Cloud for some time now, and this new agreement significantly deepens their relationship.

While the financial specifics remain confidential, a source familiar with the deal disclosed to TechCrunch that it represents a fivefold increase in Lovable’s utilization of Google Cloud, especially in AI services. Furthermore, Lovable will gain improved access to both Anthropic’s Claude, the AI model renowned for coding activities, and Google’s own Gemini frameworks.

Anthropic’s involvement is especially noteworthy. Google made a substantial investment of $10 billion in Anthropic, which included cash and compute credits in April, with a potential additional $30 billion subject to Anthropic meeting specific performance criteria. This investment was executed at a $350 billion valuation, just a month prior to Anthropic’s remarkable $65 billion funding round that valued the firm at nearly $1 trillion. This partnership could help Anthropic reach those targets, as Lovable is among the fastest-growing startups in Europe. As of February, Lovable announced a significant milestone of over $400 million in annualized revenue, achieving a remarkable $100 million in just one month with only 146 employees. The company proudly states that more than half of Fortune 500 companies utilize its products in some form.

Additionally, this agreement further integrates Lovable into various segments of Google’s ecosystem. Lovable’s new agent will be available through Google Cloud’s enterprise agent marketplace, specifically within the Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery—a move expected to be highlighted during Google’s major U.S. cloud conference in April. To enhance security for code generated by both human users and agents, Lovable will partner with Wiz, which marks Google’s largest acquisition to date at $32 billion, officially completed in March, a year after its initial announcement. This collaboration will allow Wiz to identify and address security vulnerabilities in real time.

By distributing Lovable’s agents via Google’s marketplace, the tech giant claims that enterprise procurement and billing processes will be streamlined, facilitating Lovable’s efforts to attract more enterprise clients.

For Google, the motivation is clear: sustaining growth for both Lovable and Anthropic by attracting well-capitalized enterprises will generate revenue to support the estimated $180 billion to $190 billion in capital expenditures planned for this year. The company is already pushing to sell a record $85 billion in equity to fund part of this, leaving roughly another $100 billion to secure.
