Anthropic’s Annual Revenue Surges to $65 Billion

Anthropic is witnessing extraordinary growth in its revenue, with an accelerating trend. Bloomberg reported on Monday that the model maker’s annualized revenue run rate — a projection of one year’s revenue based on a recent shorter period — surpassed $65 billion by the end of July, up from $47 billion in May and just $9 billion at the end of the previous year.

Anthropic did not respond quickly to our request for a comment.

Investors are optimistic about the company’s ability to sustain a similar growth pattern throughout the year, with expectations that revenues could reach between $100 billion and $120 billion by the end of 2026, as reported by the Financial Times.

In contrast, competitor OpenAI has seen its revenue double to $40 billion, rising from $20 billion at the end of 2025, according to a Bloomberg report last week.

Despite both companies possibly evaluating their revenue metrics differently, the growth rate exhibited by Anthropic has captured more attention from investors compared to OpenAI.

Both firms have filed confidential IPO documents, with Anthropic expected to go public ahead of OpenAI — potentially as soon as this fall. The Financial Times indicates that Anthropic is targeting a public valuation of $2 trillion or higher, which would establish the largest market debut in history.

In late May, Anthropic received a valuation of $965 billion following a funding round that raised $65 billion.
