Gwyneth Paltrow Said to Be Organizing Dinner in Tribute to Sam Altman

As reported by Puck, Sam Altman is heading to the Hamptons. Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly extending invitations for a “private, off-the-record” dinner in celebration of the tech entrepreneur on August 29 at her home in the East.

Paltrow, who is famous for her acting career, also founded the wellness brand Goop. She has established a reputation as an investor through her firm Kinship Ventures, which she co-founded in 2021 with Moj Mahdara. In 2023, it was announced that the firm was working on raising a $75 million fund, though its closure details are still unclear. Kinship has invested in OpenAI (with SEC filings showing her investment dates back to 2023) and other AI startups, including the vibe-coding tool Lovable and the AI-driven marketing platform Nectar Social.

In recent years, Paltrow has been more outspoken about AI — she has shared her experiences using these tools to run her business, and Goop Kitchen has leased space on the ground floor of Anthropic’s San Francisco headquarters. Earlier this year, OpenAI teamed up with Charles Porch, dubbed the “celebrity whisperer” by Vanity Fair.
