Peacock Raises Subscription Prices Across All Streaming Plans
Peacock has revealed an increase in its subscription fees, with the basic ad-supported “Select” plan now priced at $8.99 per month, up from $7.99 previously. The ad-supported “Premium” plan will be offered for $12.99 monthly, rising from $10.99, while the ad-free “Premium Plus” plan will jump from $16.99 to $19.99 each month.
These new pricing updates will take effect on August 18 for both new and existing subscribers, with current users experiencing the increased rates on their billing cycles starting after September 17.
“This updated pricing structure allows Peacock to enhance the viewing experience for our audience, remain competitive in the marketplace, and provide exclusive content across multiple genres,” the company stated in its support documentation.
Annual plan subscribers and those enjoying current promotional rates will keep their existing pricing until their subscriptions or promotions reach expiration.
Recently, Peacock launched new features, including an AI-powered “Bravoverse” vertical video feed presenting clips from popular shows like “The Real Housewives” and “Vanderpump Rules.” Additionally, the platform will soon introduce a feature enabling fans to watch live sports in a vertical format, utilizing real-time AI technology for accurate cropping on mobile devices.
Furthermore, two new mystery games—Law & Order: Clue Hunter and Public Eye—have been launched, created by the AI gaming studio Wolf Games.
Last month, NBCUniversal announced that Peacock’s Premium plan will be made available to YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S. starting in early 2027.
Since its launch in 2020, the streaming service celebrated its first profitable quarter last month, reaching 48 million subscribers, bolstered by events such as the NBA playoffs, FIFA World Cup, and “Love Island.”
In line with trends seen among other streaming platforms like Netflix and HBO Max, Peacock has steadily raised its subscription prices over the years, with the latest adjustment occurring in July 2025, resulting in a $3 increase. This represents the platform’s fourth price change in four years.
