Peacock Raises Subscription Rates Across All Streaming Plans

Peacock has revealed a hike in its subscription fees, with the basic ad-supported “Select” plan now priced at $8.99 per month, an increase from the previous rate of $7.99. The ad-supported “Premium” plan will now cost $12.99 monthly, up from $10.99, while the ad-free “Premium Plus” plan will see an increase from $16.99 to $19.99 per month.

These new pricing structures will take effect on August 18 for both new subscribers and those already enrolled. Existing subscribers will notice these revised rates during their billing cycles after September 17.

“These pricing changes enable Peacock to consistently improve the viewing experience for our users, stay competitive in the industry, and offer exclusive content across a broad range of genres,” the company explained in its support documentation.

Subscribers on annual plans and those benefiting from ongoing promotional pricing will maintain their current rates until their plans or offers come to an end.

Recently, Peacock launched new functionalities, featuring an AI-driven “Bravoverse” vertical video feed that showcases clips from popular shows like “The Real Housewives” and “Vanderpump Rules.” The platform is also preparing to introduce a feature that allows fans to view live sports events in vertical format, utilizing real-time AI technology for optimized cropping on mobile devices.

Moreover, two new mystery games, Law & Order: Clue Hunter and Public Eye, have been launched, created by the AI gaming studio Wolf Games.

Last month, NBCUniversal announced that Peacock’s Premium plan will be accessible to YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S. starting in early 2027.

Since its launch in 2020, the streaming service celebrated its first profitable quarter last month, reaching 48 million subscribers, largely fueled by events like the NBA playoffs, FIFA World Cup, and “Love Island.”

Similar to other streaming services such as Netflix and HBO Max, Peacock has been incrementally increasing its subscription fees over the years, following the last price adjustment in July 2025, which raised the subscription cost by $3. This marks the platform’s fourth price change in four years.
