Peacock Raises Subscription Rates Across All Streaming Tiers
Peacock has announced an increase in its subscription fees, with the basic ad-supported “Select” plan now priced at $8.99 per month, up from the previous rate of $7.99. The ad-supported “Premium” plan will now cost $12.99 monthly, increasing from $10.99, and the ad-free “Premium Plus” plan will rise from $16.99 to $19.99 per month.
These new pricing tiers will take effect starting August 18 for both new and existing subscribers. Current subscribers will notice these updated rates during their billing cycles after September 17.
“These pricing changes enable Peacock to continually improve the viewing experience for our users, maintain competitiveness in the industry, and deliver exclusive content across various genres,” the company articulated in its support documentation.
Subscribers on annual plans and those benefiting from current promotional offers will keep their existing rates until their plans or promotions come to an end.
Recently, Peacock introduced new features, including an AI-driven “Bravoverse” vertical video feed that showcases clips from popular series such as “The Real Housewives” and “Vanderpump Rules.” Additionally, the platform is preparing to launch a feature that allows fans to watch live sports in vertical format, utilizing real-time AI technology for optimal cropping on mobile devices.
Moreover, two new mystery games, Law & Order: Clue Hunter and Public Eye, have been released, developed by the AI gaming studio Wolf Games.
Last month, NBCUniversal also announced that Peacock’s Premium plan would be available to YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S. starting in early 2027.
Since its launch in 2020, the streaming service celebrated its first profitable quarter last month, achieving 48 million subscribers, largely attributed to events such as the NBA playoffs, FIFA World Cup, and “Love Island.”
In line with other streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max, Peacock has gradually increased its subscription rates over the years, following the last price change in July 2025, which raised the subscription fee by $3. This represents the platform’s fourth price adjustment in four years.
