Meta AI Unveils New Mac App to Improve Your App Interactions

Meta has launched a new Mac application for Meta AI that includes a system-wide dictation feature. This application is capable of analyzing your current screen and responding to your questions based on the context using its Muse Spark model.

The company states that the dictation feature works across all applications, akin to tools like Wispr Flow, Superwhisper, and Monologue. Recently, Google also upgraded its Gemini app for Mac to incorporate a system-wide dictation capability.

The release of the Mac application is part of a larger update for Meta AI specifically targeting business owners. The company indicated that merchants can connect their Instagram and Facebook accounts, as well as their Meta ad campaigns and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) with Meta AI, enabling them to obtain insights by asking questions to the AI assistant.

Meta AI can help users gather information regarding campaign performance and engagement metrics to highlight successful posts. Additionally, it can provide competitive intelligence based on publicly accessible information.

With the new integration of Meta AI into business tools, the AI assistant is capable of generating proposal decks, drafting documents, and organizing spreadsheets.

Meta has been increasingly focused on making its AI tools available to businesses for automating customer support and addressing inquiries across its platforms, including WhatsApp and Instagram. During the company’s Q2 2026 earnings call, CEO Mark Zuckerberg emphasized a significant potential to offer agents to businesses and automate tasks on their behalf.
