Riakporhe, who stands at 6ft 5in and previously fought at the cruiserweight limit of 14st 4lb, commented, “He appeared to be tiring as early as the third round.”

“This sport requires exceptional strength and the competence of expert conditioning coaches; every team member plays a critical role.”

“Heavyweight boxing is unique; it carries a distinctly different atmosphere than other divisions.”

“When I transitioned, I restructured my entire team, including trainers and conditioning experts.”

“It’s crucial to train for a full 12 rounds. Seeing him in the corner with his mouth gaping open by the fourth round was alarming.”

After his unexpected setback, a video emerged on talkSPORT where Itauma admitted that he likely hadn’t completed a full 12-round sparring session in preparation for his clash with the seasoned Olympic bronze medalist.

Riakporhe observed that while Itauma’s tactics were successful in the early going, their effectiveness diminished as the contest wore on.

He remarked, “It’s surprising he didn’t spar for a full 12 rounds.”

“Training camps should involve that level of preparation; otherwise, you won’t grasp how to operate under pressure.”

“I select sparring partners who push me to my limits. My body might feel worn out, but I embrace that discomfort as it readies me for tough challenges.”

“You cannot afford to exhaust your energy reserves.”

Like many in the UK boxing sphere, Riakporhe rallied around the young fighter and looks forward to his bright return.

He asserted, “There are numerous exciting bouts ahead for him, and boxing fans certainly recognized Moses Itauma after this fight.”

“This sport is about entertainment, and he undoubtedly put on a significant performance.”
