No-Code Website Builder Framer Reaches $2 Billion Valuation
Framer, a no-code website creation platform with over 500,000 active monthly users, has reached a valuation of $2 billion after securing $100 million in a Series D funding round led by existing investors Meritech and Atomico.
This impressive double-unicorn status comes at a time of heightened interest in website builders, competing with players like Figma, Squarespace, and Wix, as well as new ‘vibe coding’ platforms such as Cursor and Lovable.
In 2023, Framer raised $27 million in a Series C round led by Meritech without disclosing the valuation.
“With this funding, we’re doubling down on enterprise growth and AI, allowing any organization to manage their whole website effortlessly on Framer,” said CEO and co-founder Koen Bok.
Rather than static landing pages, Framer facilitates the creation of dynamic websites that teams can effortlessly update without needing developer support. The company has recently rolled out analytics and enterprise security features, aiming to empower “companies to manage their entire .com,” Bok told TechCrunch.
Founded in Amsterdam by Bok and Jorn van Dijk, who sold their design studio to Facebook in 2011, Framer brands itself as “the website builder loved by designers,” guaranteeing that websites made with its tools will have a unique charm.
The Dutch company has also heavily invested in its enterprise solutions. Since the introduction of business plans late last year, Framer has noted that enterprises now make up the majority of its new clients, including names like Miro, Perplexity, and Scale AI, along with 40% of the latest Y Combinator batch.

The growing B2B segment is already impacting the company’s financial results. A spokesperson reported that the business has achieved $50 million in annual recurring revenue this year, with plans to exceed the $100 million mark next year. “We’ve been at break-even for the past year,” Bok shared with TechCrunch.
