How Rising Temperatures May Affect the Outcome of the Kaizer Chiefs vs. Polokwane City Match This Sunday

Johannesburg – The current heatwave could pose difficulties for Kaizer Chiefs as they head to Limpopo to face Polokwane City in a Betway Premiership match at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium this Sunday afternoon.

The match is set to kick off at 15:30.

The SA Weather Service (SAWS) anticipates that the heatwave may last for several more days, meaning the Chiefs will experience challenging weather in the north, unless there is a rescheduling of the kick-off time.

The Glamour Boys are eager to regain their winning form after conceding a two-goal lead against Royal AM.

The Soweto giants netted twice in the first half, with goals from Ashley Du Preez and Wandile Dube.

However, Ayabulela Maxwele and Levy Mashiane scored for Royal AM, leveling the match at 2-2 and resulting in a draw.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi expressed his disappointment with the outcome, linking it to a “lack of professionalism” from certain Chiefs players that led to relinquishing their 2-0 lead.

In order to rectify this mistake, the Tunisian coach must take into account the high temperatures at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium that the Glamour Boys are expected to face in their next match.
